A 5th inning triple by Alex Caruso scored two
and an errant throw allowed Caruso to score, giving the Vermont Mountaineers a 3-2 win over the Keene Swamp Bats 3-2 in
Montpelier Tuesday night.
The loss ends a string of 5 wins for Keene.

In the top of the 5th, outfielder Brady
Sheetz hit a one out Triple and scored on a wild pitch to give Keene a 1-0 lead.

Sheetz also hit a sacrifice fly in the 6th
inning to score catcher Rob Coman.

David Sosebee takes the loss. In six full
innings, Sosebee allowed 2 earned runs, 4 hits, 0 Walks and notched 7 strikeouts.

Jared Mederos hit a double in the 7th
inning.

Jack Roberts relieved Sosebee in the 7th
inning. His receiver Rob Coman, is his Virginia
Cavaliers teammate.

The next two Swamp Bats games are at Alumni
Field, the Newport Gulls Wednesday and Plymouth Pilgrims Thursday. Both games
are set for 6:30 pm.
